We are proud to have been asked to join the Motorcycle Scotland website as a recommended eating place. This is an initiative that we support to encourage more motorcyclists to visit
the area. To anyone who thinks motorcyclists are those scary creatures of our youth, just pause and look if you see a group
stretching their legs by the side of the road! Not many fall into the spotty youth category! (No offence to spotty youths
intended!) We are
proud to exhibit and be offering for sale, pictures by Alwyn Howes. His work is simply stunning. Please take some time to look at Alwyn’s work.
We have been recommended by customers and are listed on the gluten-free on-the-go website. This is a coeliac-friendly
guide to cafés, restaurants and hotels around the world. We are also listed on the "Go gluten-free wheat-free" website.

about Newton Stewart, including details of accommodation providers. Before moving to the area, we stayed
in cottages and B&Bs and can therefore give some personal recommendations. We found the following to be welcoming hosts,
with clean, comfortable and value-for-money accommodation. (Please remember that people’s tastes and expectations can differ and we cannot be
held responsible if you disagree with our opinion.) Hillcrest House - winner of the Guest House Local Flavour Food Award at the Scottish Hotels of the Year award 2008. Really great place to stay and a place we
love to eat. Solar powered as well! Oakbank (wonderful friendly hosts). Villa Cree (great owners and overlooking the River Cree) Changue House (luxury B&B accommodation). Gastronomic delights produced in the country kitchen are all created from the best of local,
organic, Scottish produce, home-grown vegetables, fruit and herbs from the kitchen garden, local reared meat, game, cheese
and freshly caught seafood (Ballantrae prawns, lobster and crab). Association of Dumfries
and Galloway Accommodation Providers - ADGAP. We personally have not stayed in
the following, but they have been recommended to us: If you’re looking for somewhere
to camp or park your caravan, try our friends, Rusty and Christine, at Garlieston Lodge campsite in the beautiful coastal village of Garlieston (they keep lovely piggies as well!) If
you want are interested in astronomy and the Galloway Dark Park, then you should try to book into Craiglemine Cottage B&B. You can observe the stars whilst being supplied with hot drinks throught the night. Conifers Leisure Park offers you a secluded place to spend a holiday with access to the countryside and all its activities and is set amidst 31
acres of active pine woodland with luxury lodges and modern amenities. Close at hand are spots of scenic beauty, centres of
historic interest, gardens, fine restaurants, shopping in busy market towns and much more. Waterside Lodges Adjacent to the Southern Uplands Way and close to the 7 Stanes Mountain Bike Centres at Glentrool and Kirroughtree in Dumfries
and Galloway, we offer self-catering cottage accommodation throughout the year for walkers, cyclists, wildlife enthusiasts
and holiday makers. Tas (the owner) is a HUGE fan of cafe cree..and don't forget to ask him why he is callled Tas! Check also the website of the local
Chamber of Commerce for information on accommodation providers, places to eat and things to see and do in the area.
